Was just researching on some bacteria stuff for my microbiology report. Chanced upon this write-up on a website.
Aromabacter malodorens is the bacterium that colonizes healthy human skin. This organism grows on sweat and produces butyrate and other organic acids which smell bad in high concentrations. This past year, scientists affiliated with the International Society for Microbial Ecology created a genetically engineered strain of this microorganism that can help banish unpleasant underarm odor.
Scientists removed the butyrate synthase gene that causes one of the unpleasant odors. Scientists then inserted the DNA from an Asian Musk Deer that encodes muskolic acid. Muskolic acid is the compound that gives musk oil its characteristic smell. In preliminary studies, this new strain of Aromabacter malodorens survives well on the human skin. Scientists are now working on ways for the genetically engineered bacteria to out compete native populations of foul-smelling bacteria.
The ISME plans to market an underarm deodorant containing these new bacteria and license this technology to other deodorant manufacturers. Because the deodorant is self-replicating, it requires only monthly application. If this microorganism sells well, the ISME plans to genetically engineer a mint-flavored bacterium for the mouth.

School work is piling up high. Too much to do, too little time.
But really glad to have my friends around. They are the reason why I look forward to school :)
When you give something to people, don’t expect for anything in return.

But if you do give something in return, and the person don’t realise it, its not your fault too. He/she just don’t have the eyes and heart to see it. Its not that you don’t have gratitude, its just that they are too busy with their own things, they don’t bother to slow down to take a look.
Be nice to people, but never complain or grumble if others don’t return the favour.

Things have changed drastically in the inside of me. Been having a tsunami kind of feelings in me. Sometimes estatic, sometimes truly happy, yet sometimes I’m laughing without feeling that great as well.
I’m happy for the things I have now. Have learnt to not listen to things that I know will hurt me. Conversations that aren’t pleasant, somehow I have acquired the innate ability to “auto delete” them.
Lets hope for the best and hope my “ability” will not disappear so soon. :)

I don’t know how to tell anyone how I feel.
Last time, I would always complain about why others can do this and that to me, but I can’t do it back. I know its not right to think in that way. So I tell myself, its not worth you getting upset. In the past, I would still feel unhappy, mood ruined and such. But now, I did manage to succeed abit and controlled my emotions well.
Rather, its also about whom I tell.

So yeah, after playing Restaurant City, I decided to take on Pet Society. Its super fun! By right, a pet will stop poo-ing if there are 3 poos in ur chest or house. So to keep my pet poo-ing, I sent the poos away to my bf’s account. So thats my bf’s pet with the shelves of shit! hahaha.. Thats how much of shit my pet pooped in 1 evening!
Ugh. Pet society’s under maintenance.. I’ll post up other photos of my rooms when I’m free.And I don’t care if I’m too old for cutesy stuff. Lalala~

Nothing informative in this post. Just an update. Tomorrow Rachie is coming my house to help me paint my room’s ceiling cottoncandy pink! I painted the walls, but the ceiling is the impossible for me. Its gonna be fun, after that will be going to kbox with huiwen and my bf! XD
Also, my Final Theory evaluation is coming up. Rachie told me that she took 9 times of final theory practices! And I only booked 2! So I’m going for 3 now. Lets hope I pass my FTT in one shot! *prays hard*

I love the design! The powder has a nice scent to it too. The powder is finely milled and gives skin a slight glow. But its not as luminous as the star in Laneige’s advertisement. Even though I’ve read reviews online that it will not oxidise, it did oxidise on me quite a bit. Perhaps its the humid weather in Singapore that’s causing makeup to wear off faster. Thats one sad thing about it. Fortunately, I took #2 instead of #3.
This is the BB compact that was opened from the pink packaging. Precious Mineral BB Compact (Sheer Flawless Skin) SPF 30/PA+++.
Its cover is like a clam. Luminous purple with tiny sparkles of pink and red hues on it. The powder is finely milled as well. For some reason, this etude BB pact does not work well with my Skinfood BBcream, it cakes up even when I use the kabuki brush to buff it in. But it works very well with the BB Magic Balm. Both are from Etude House. Hmm..
Anyway, I’ll just show more of its pretty shell. :)

SPF 30/PA+++ as well. It comes with a short brush, which I like because brushes with long handles are a hindrance. I always knock my brushes onto the mirror. *Klutz yeah I know*
Anyway, this is the creamiest BB stuff I’ve used before. I am actually very amazed at its coverage. Even though its creamy, I find it hard for this BB balm to settle into my skin fast. It will result in slight streaking if I use the brush to apply. So I have solved it by using the warmth of my fingers to gently press the BB balm into my skin. Alternatively, a sponge can be used. But I prefer to use fingers. Its faster that way.
Creamy isn’t it? :D
Sorry for the ultra dark photo and my ugly stubby fingers. I took that photo at night. But in real life, the BB balm is lighter than my actual skin tone. But as all BB creams go, they blend into your own skintone perfectly. So thats no problem for me. Heh.. Still, I would think it will be suitable for people with skintone of NC20 to 25.
Also, I really really love the dewy effect that it has on my face! Its a pity that the oil control is close to zero. But lucky for me, my skin is naturally dry like Sahara desert. So again, thats not a problem for me but may be too oily for other skin types.
On a side note, I love the Moistfull essence and Moistfull massage gel mask! I placed the Moistfull massage gel mask into the fridge and it feels good to have the chilled gel applied on my face at the end of a tiring day. :)

Passed my basic theory test for driving yesterday. Booked my FTT on 8th August immediately after my BTT, which is kind of early. Blame it on my over-confidence. >_< and today went out for dinner with jiahui, glad tt she likes that top i bought for her. The next few days will be packed. Out with friends and stuff. :)

Saw this video on Paris Hilton’s walk-in closets. Note: Closetssssss. She’s has 3 of them featured on this video. God knows how many other closets she has for other things. I don’t get her. Why emphasize on giving those shoes and bags and clothes away to charities? They don’t need those stuff, they need money instead! It will also make more sense to give some of the food from her kitchen, right? She’s not eating much anyway.
My shoes are not even 10% of hers. I have like 5 pairs of tights? And she has 4 DRAWERS of them?!
Okay, I shouldn’t compare. Its not healthy to compare, especially with a heiress.
Hmm.. it makes me wonder how I did survive through the secondary school years with just 4 pairs of shoes. Running shoes, school shoes, go-out-shoes, slippers. Seriously, I am amazed at how I get through the years with just 40 cents a day for primary school too. Its just 10 years ago! And now, $20 a day is still not enough.
1st July was his birthday, so I did this pillow for him. Its quite big actually, though its hard to see from that photo. =P Maybe I will upload a better photo soon!
Went out with him to Kushin bo for the 1hr lunch buffet. The green tea ice cream was super nice! You can operate the ice cream dispenser yourself, so its up to you to choose how high you want your ice cream to go.
The point is, I’m glad that he likes the cushion. :) His mom thinks its romantic too. hehe..

Bought back 1 L’oreal Elseve Re-Nutrition Night Serum and 2 Silkpros conditioners. They are on sale >_<
Anyway, the Night Serum, as recommended by Suelin to me, it smells great and can be applied just before you go to bed. It has royal jelly infused into it. It claims to make hair bouncy and silky. After a few tries, my hair really feels better and smells very nice. Not significantly bouncier, but the curls definately stays longer.
I paid $14.50 for it. 150mL. Cheap yes? :D
I haven’t get to try Silkpro conditioner, but I hope its a good investment for my hair. *uh hmmm*

I felt so wronged and angry yesterday. Very disappointed and unloved. Cheated and betrayed. Feels the same as a dream that I had a few months back…
I was sleeping, and I had a dream which is quite vague.
All I remembered was the heartburning sensation, together with the throat-suffocating feeling. I felt like the whole world was against me, and no one was on my side.
And then, I banged the table in the dream.
I woke up,
Realising that its the mattress that I slammed my fist upon. The anger was still within me, unreleased.

I was working at the exhibition and this colleague of mine asked me about ipods. She is from china. So I told her about my bad experiences with this anonymous china brand mp3, prior to getting my hot pink ipod. Lets call her Tweety Bird, because she’s so small and tiny, with beady eyes. If she were to be wearing yellow, she would be able to pull off the whole birdy look. We were talking in chinese. So for convenience’s sake, I will illustrate it in english.
Umm, in engrish.
I: “Yeah, you know I bought this mp3 in the past. The sales person did not tell me that the mp3 is brandless. Initially he told me that the mp3 is from Samsung. Only after a few repairs, then he told me that the internal parts of the mp3 was from samsung. The outer cover and ear piece are from china.”
Tweety: “Huh? What are you talking about?”
I: “MP3. I bought this useless red one a few years ago. It kept spoiling. I went back so many times to repair, until I got fed up with it. So I bought a new Ipod one.”
Tweety: “M.. P.. Tree??”
I: “Yah, M.. P.. Three” (with the TH sound being not so audible, but still there)
Tweety: “Oh! You meant MP-Thoooooreeerr ah? I don’t know what you mean with MP-Tree”
I: “…..”
She also went ahead to criticise the way the broadcaster’s pronounciation on the word “Asia”.
She said, “Aiii-Shiaaa”.
Aiii-Shiaa! We are in Southeast Aiiii-Shiaaa~~
If she is a bit bigger in size and louder in volume, I would have boxed her and sent her to her Tweety bird heaven.
Nah.. Just kidding. I would have scratched her beady eyes out.
